BooneScuttle5 - Bernie's Hillside Lounge - December 1, 2001
Bernie's was our best gig ever, no question. We really appreciate everyone who came out to support the band (it is a bit isolated...) We hope you all had as much fun as we obviously did. Having a room full of dancers who won't sit down is pretty inspirational! Not to put to fine a point on it, we totally rocked the house. Bernie was beaming, the girls were dancing, Bobby was sweating, it just couldn't have been any better. One Gen-Xer even said to Bob, "Hey man, you've got some pretty good moves up there, for an old guy!"
We introduced some new tunes, to great acclaim: "Lies", by the Knickerbockers (quoth Bob- "Now I can die happy."
For George Harrison - "Honey Don't" (RIP, quiet one.) Tom Petty's "I Won't Back Down" (for Sept. 11th solidarity) and, last but not least, "I Had Too Much To Dream Last Night" by the Electric Prunes. 'nuff said.

Raiders!!!

Bob and Kev well into it, while Joe thumps.
Note the contrasting, but friendly flag shirts...

Smilin' Vic, in a pensive mood.

Ric man
The Searchers and Byrds tunes let Joe take his baby for a spin....
play it loud, man!
Santa?
It was only Dec. 1st, but we still had to play a Christmas tune: the Ventures version of "Sleighride."
Spooky!
Things got a bit psychedelic as Vic twisted out the backwards
guitar part for "I Had Too Much To Dream." The crowd was mesmerized!
Rockin'
Dave is not usually so animated...
