- Bernie's Hillside Lounge - May 18, 2002
We returned to Bernie's with a somewhat heavy heart: sans
our good pal Vic. But, we did him proud, we think, thanks again to the great
support from our friends and fans, new and old.
As always, some new tunes were introduced:
George Harrison mini-set with "Don't Bother Me" and "I Need You",
followed by one of our favorite obscure Beatle tunes: Dr. Robert, featuring
great psych organ and quasi-Indian harmonies.
A great new Beach Boys tune, "Surfin' Safari" and
The hit of the evening:Cream mini-set with "I Feel Free" b/w "Sunshine
of Your Love." We were worried that the latter might be "ponderous, man, f*in'
ponderous (thanks Kasey...) but no, the crowd loved it!
A big thank you to Amy for the great "fotos!"
Everybody! |
This is how the crowd felt during "I Feel Free."
|
"Baby, It's You!" |
Dennis, nattily attired. |
Nice atmospheric shot of Joe holding it down. |
Dave didn't get the message about the suits... oh well... |
Kev's really giving it to that tambourine... |
Bob, in a pensive mood. |
